Using a Wine Glass as a Bachelorette Centerpiece

I’m a big fan of using functional items as decorations. When I threw my first bachelorette party last year, I used a pretty scarf as a table accent, and then gave it to the bride as a gift after the party. I wanted to do something similar for this bachelorette party, so when I had the chance to pick out some things from Designs by Lolita, I knew this would fit in perfectly with the theme since one of the activities was a wine tasting!

I was first introduced to Designs by Lolita last year, when I reviewed one of their bridal wine glasses. Each piece is beautifully handpainted with a recipe included at the bottom of each wine glass, making them a true accent piece. One of the glasses I received for this party was the Heart of Gold Superbling Wine Glass, a lovely goblet bedecked in sparkles and painted with hearts – perfect for a gathering celebrating a bride! The large decorative case which houses the glass is also beautifully styled, making it a great conversation piece.

Because this glass and its case are so ornate, it made for an effortless centerpiece. Once I set up my wine tasting area, I placed the glass and its case next to the bottles and wine list. Talk about easy! It really added a glam touch to the table and fit perfectly with the decor.

The next morning when I was taking down the decorations, I sealed the wine glass back in its case and gave it to Jaime along with another Lolita glass which I used in one of the party games (More on that later!). She had thought they were just decor props and hadn’t been expecting to keep them, so she told me, “I feel so spoiled, thank you!” She loved the wine glasses and asked me if she should send a thank-you card to my clients for the samples they provided for this party. Isn’t that sweet?
